what did you do?  upgrade wp?  wp theme update?  update or add any wp plugins?  simple press or plugins update?

anything in the server error log?

try going to forum - toolbox - housekeeping and clearing the combined css/js caches...  if that doesnt help, try turning them off...

also, perhaps try a temp switch to the sp css only theme...  it doesnt seem to be loading the css...

Reseting the combined css/js caches worked.

The error log shows nothing.

What is the cause of this issue? Any way to stop it from returning?

no idea... the caches can get out of sync if something changes (we try resetting if you update sp themes or plugins, but depends on how updates occur)...  changes could be something on your server (permissions, for example)...  but the once the caches are primed, they dont change (dont need to until something else changes)...

we have not had any issue with caches getting out of whack because they are created and left alone...  if you think something fishy is happening locally, you could just disable the combined caches...  would be slight throughput disadvantage since multiple css and js files would be loaded instead of just one...

now, if you had said the issue happened after last sp upgrade, it might point to some changes we made in the last release to the caches being out of whack with the old cache (though we did a reset)...  no reports of that, but...

Both? Or just one of them?
