Hi guys,

I have just updated the simple press plugin and the forum has disappeared. I'm sure the error is mine and that I have misread or missed something I needed to do before the update.

Could someone shed some light on this for me??

Thx.

What else have you updated at the same time? You website is throwing a very large number of scripting errors - not all related to SP. So other things must have changed as well.

I went through and updated all plugins...

I will start turning off the ones I have updated, if I can remember which these were!

I would start with the theme actually. Did that get an update? And what theme is it?

No the theme hasn't had an update. The theme is impulse by skyali. http://londonthemes.com/viewth.....me=impulse but has had some major alterations.

I have found the offending plugin - Wordpress SEO by YOAST !! Quite a popular plugin.

Do you think it would just be my site affected by this or all using both simple press and WP SEO?

Oh no. WP SEO works just fine alongside SP. We also support it via our google sitemap plugin. Is it possible that WP SEO was also in conflict with another plugin and deactivating WP SEO caused the conflicts to stop?

one thing you need to make sure with yoast, and he recommends it anyways, is to have the rewrite ugly permalinks options turned off....

Ok, re-write ugly permalinks is off, I have de-activated all other plugins one by one and the only way I can get simple press to show is deactivate yoast.

Most strange - although personally I do not discount WordPress theme conflicts if that too has had an upgrade.

Can you try this - go to the forum admin > Integration panel and switch the current setting of loading javascript in header/footer.

And if there is any chance of briefly switching to the default WordPress theme (with both Yoast and SP active)  it would be useful just to make sure that has no effect...
