@fidosysop-2 , I tried the regenerate URL suggestion - I thought that was a really good one. I also tried the usual WP Permalinks re-apply trick, which has solved many problems with other plugins in the past. Unfortunately in this case, neither worked.

I didn't quite follow your instructions about database repair (coudln't find any sections with that name), but I did try clearing many of the caches on the page you referenced. For fear of breaking something, I did not try rebuilding any database tables.

What did solve the problem, was chatting with our upstream hosting provider. It turns out that their (seriously) awesome security measures, which do wonders for our clients overall, were interfering with the login functionality. Once they disabled a group of those, voila!

Again, thank you guys so much for your help. We chased this issue all the way down the line and unfortunately as you know you just have to diagnose and test until you find the broken link in the chain. I appreciate so greatly your patience and your input. Thanks once again!
