Nothing on my forum shows up in Google search results.  I am using the Google XML site map plug in.  When I do a blog post, it shows up in search results almost immediately.  But nothing that's been posted in the forum since a week ago is showing up.  I have disables RSS.  Could that mean anything?

no... rss is not needed for google to index...

have you checked your sitemap to see if forum topics listed in there?  how often are you building your sitemap with forum info?

is your forum public?  ie guests can read?

Yes, the forum is public but it does not show up in the Google XML plug in.  I think I know what the problem is.  I have the WP Google XML plug In but not the Simpl:Press Google XML plug in.  I will try installing that and see if it works.

OK, so I installed the Simple:Press Google XML plug in and my forum is still not showing up in search results (even when I search for the name of the forum).  I am not overwriting the WP met information with SP meta info.  Could that be it?  I didn't want to do that because it puts really long breadcrumbs in the page title.

FYI, I am using this configuration:

http://bloggergo.com/google-xm.....-settings/

And in Simple:Press SEO I have it set to rebuild the sitemap every time a post is posted.  Still nothing.  🙁

OK, Here is a screenshot of my SP SEO settings.  Only the main forum page shows up in the sitemap but none of the actual topics or posts.

ya kind of cut off the most important part - the sitemap seo...

any errors in your error log on forum - toolbox - error log?

how about in forum - forums - manage groups and forums... edit each forum and make sure you have it set to be included in the sitemap...  the default is yes, but perhaps it got changed on you...

This is the exact sitemap configuration I'm using:  http://bloggergo.com/google-xm.....-settings/

Each forum has the "include in sitemap" checked but I do not have SP set to overwrite the Wordpress meta information and page titles.  Could that be it?
