first, I am not getting 404 errors on any page... group, forums and topics load fine...

and this fix, only helps with pathinfo permalinks... where you have index.php in the permalink... you are not using those...

Hello Mr. Papa, 

Thank you for the help. I replied that the permalink fix you mentioned worked--but I think when I posted the reply something timed out so it never appeared.

Yes, we did all the WP 3.5 updates as well as the many Simple_press updates, and all of our other plugin updates.

I'm happy the permalink update did the trick!
