I was doing something that I obviously had no business trying. I have an old forum from Kunena (Joomla) and I was trying to see if I could migrate it into Simple Machines forum and then into Simple:Press. When I installed the simple machines forum onto my server and tried the conversion, my simple press forum in now broken. What can I do?

At a guess I would suspect you created a folder called 'forum' in the root of your site. This then clashes with the url and instead of running the WP /forum (SP) it opens your forum folder instead. Rename the folder - or - rename the SP forum page and slug.
