Hello, We have this 404 issue before but we thought it's because of some of our plugins. But recently some of existing post and thread are having 404 error again, Our existing members even guess is having this issue also. We tried it accessing it with other browser, clearing cache but didn't work. but for some weird reason after trying to resfresh serveral times the post or thread works. Any thought about this? We're using SP v5.1.1

Apologies. For some reason it looks like we missed this post yesterday and I have no idea why...

Random events like this are always hard to track down of course so we really have to start with the most likely progressing to the more obscure... so let's do that.

My favourite theory would be that the WP rewrite rules (which control the directing of a requested page to the correct processing) are being periodically trashed by something which would make sense as this would lead to a 404 scenario which in itself would then lead, at some point, to a rebuild of the rules - which are held in the database.

So I would suggest that the first thing we need to do is examine what other WP plugins you have active. We probably wont recognise them all but a list would be a good start. In particular, we need to see if there are any other plugins that use rewrite rules to display their content in the same way that SP does.

And if anyone else has any other ideas of a possible reason for this behaviour then please do throw them into the ring.
