"sfnonce"
I too am interested in learning more about the aha posting process and what looks like a "nonce" key.
I just posted this topic describing a very similar issue where a blank page loads with the ahah URL. Everything is up to date on our site, the behavior is new, and we've added no new plugins, but we have been making some mod_sec edits lately.

What would you like to know? Ahah is technically the correct term for the type of Ajax that Simple:Press uses. We should have perhaps changed it to make it more obvious but it has been 'ahah' since day one so we just kept it.
And the nonce is a one-time number that WordPress likes us to add to all http requests that pas POST or GET variables in so it can be tested prior to processing results to ensure it came from the right person/website and is not spoofed. You shoulf find some articles on the nonce technology on the WP codex.

Thanks for the clarification!
I was just wondering why the aha URL might fail to redirect and complete the POST command on one topic, but work on others, like we're discussing in my other topic.
Since you mentioned mod_security, I'm wondering what type of rules might interfere but presume those would affect all instances and not just one topic/
