Support Forum
Hi there,
For many months, I had my general Forum RSS feed (all topics) hooked up with my AWeber account so a broadcast email was sent every time there were 3 new items in the feed, to drive people back to the forum.
However, I have just realised this stopped working sometime in August. I'm not aware of anything that has changed.
AWeber say the issue is that they can't access the feed because it's password protected (I'm using the forum within a membership site protected by Wishlist Member) - but this was never a problem before.
Any ideas?
Simple Press feeds have always had the option to be private using feed keys... Every user has a unique key that goes with their accounts so they can read feeds away from the forum and have permissions followed...
You can set the feeds to not use feed keys on forum - options - global settings (I think - at 38000 feet so hard to check now) but with feed keys disabled anyone will be able to read your feeds...
And to be clear, we do not use a password on feeds... The key is a url query argument... If there really is a password, it's coming from wishlist or wp page protection
