Support Forum
On my WP blog, the sidebar on the page that includes my Simple Press forum is wonky.
My sidebar consists of a few widgets that have links to other articles, as well as a couple of ads. On every other page of my blog, the sidebar displays thumbnails and titles of the linked articles. But on the page that has the Simple Press forum, the sidebar displays thumbnails, plus the ENTIRE TEXT of the linked articles. (As you can imagine, this results in one long-as-heck sidebar).
I've contacted the theme publisher who said this is definitely an error of the SP forum, and not the theme, which makes sense since the sidebar appears normal on all pages but the one with the forum.
(Also, I know a lot of people prefer to remove the sidebar altogether from WP pages that have the SimplePress Forum. I may remove the sidebar in the future, but for the time being I would rather keep it.)
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I might fix this? Thank you for any info.
many users of simple press use the sidebar, including us so its not a general issue... usually comes down to how a theme or other wp plugin may be using the_content filter...
go to forum - integration - page and permalink... Since I do not fully understand the display issue (a link would certainly help), in the integration and display options section, have a play with the options there, chiefly, the wp page links, display multiple times, display in loop, and the strict wp api ones...

Thank you for the reply, Mr. Papa. I went to integration options, and clicked "Force the strict use of the WP API," and BAM, that did the trick!
I didn't include the link because this is currently a dummy, password protected site that I'm trying to set up before taking it live.
Thank you again for the quick and helpful answer!
glad its resolved! thanks for the update...
