I never liked the search function in simplepress. Truth is, I never like the search function on any forum software. It seems universal.
Maybe I'm doing searches wrong. Not that I personally use it, since I know my content and forum almost inside out, but occasionally a member will ask how to use it, since they seem to get bad results.
I go in and test, and indeed, get bad results.
So, with that being said, is there a post, article, strategy for getting results using the simplepress search function?
thanks
Rob
I think that this is an impossible question to answer. I also think the search advanced options are rather self-explanatory.
All a search can do is match a word, words or phrase to content in your database. And it performs this task with absolute accuracy.
I will say that if you are using the basic old search then it is a little short on detail. I would recommend our advanced search plugin which will give a little detail of the post where the match is found and can also include searching the blog posts.
