Hello - I've got special badges updated for each user group & each user group maps to a custom Wordpress role.  For example, there is a user group named "Curators" who have a graphic badge that says "Curators" just like Administrators on this Forum have a custom Administrator graphic badge.

The issue I'm having is that on each post, below their badge the name of their Group is also being listed...so you see their avatar, then their "Curator" badge, then the word "Curator" below that.  On this forum the group "Administrator" isn't duplicated in text below your badge - that's how I want mine to appear.

I've gone over the settings a dozen times and can't find what control whether or not the name of the group also appears as text in the profile area of the post. can you point me to it?

Thanks,

Kelly

Apologies for you having to wait so long. Rather than type it all out again I am going to link you to a virtually identical topic. Hope that's OK. In this topic the user is using the Reboot theme which I believe you are also using by the looks of things.

Anyway - check this for the right detail - posts 1 and 2:

No worries & I took a look and it looks like it will solve the problem.  Of course, a simpple checkbox that say "don't list member's role in profile" would be more fun!

Thanks again,

Kelly

It's a very difficult trade-off. We used to have far more options before the days of using themes and templates. There are, let's be honest, a bewildering array of options now but optionalising every little nook and cranny would add hundreds! So we settled on the themes and templates, In the same way that a WordPress theme works. Personally, I am torn between the two approaches!
