We have two private forums for two different user groups. Everything seems to be protected properly so members of one group don't see anything about the other group ... except ... when you scroll down to the bottom of the page, the forum stats - showing the top posters for BOTH forums appear no matter which forum you are in. The client does not want the members of one group being able to see anything about the members in the other group. Is there a way to hide that information ( so it's not visible to anyone not in the other group?

you can either show the stats or not show the stats... they are forum wide and not based on any particular set of forum permissions...
if you prefer to hide the forum stats, or just part of them, take a look at the spFoot.php template file in your sp theme and you can hide some or all of the stats... if you do this, as always, we strongly recommend you make your own theme vice editing one of ours to keep from losing changes on udpates...
