OK, Yoast SEO has officially gone bananas on my client's website.  I disabled it and the forum is back up again 🙂  Sorry for the bother, last plugin I thought to check.

Well, if anyone has the problem where your forum loses all styling, then try and deactivate Yoast SEO and see if that helps, it did in this case.

SP - If you happen to have any solutions that would be great, they're so buggy right now and have their hands full, I don't think they will be as helpful.

Thanks!

Hey Paul,

Well it looks like something must have changed somewhere! Did anything automatically update that you know of?

It looks like the CSS is not being loaded. It also looks like you have several errors on your page, quite a few from Pinterest and also quite a few jquery conflicts which should be resolved.

Are you using any caching plugins? If so, the forum must be excluded from the cache. As it works on one page dynamically caching it will cause all kinds of problems.

Maybe we crossed posts.  See my reply above.  Oh, and yes, I do have the /forum/ excluded from the cache.

Thanks!!

Ah so we did!..

Personally I have no experience with Yoast, although I know many people here use it so possibly someone else will have the same problem if indeed it is a Yoast thing.

What's going on with them right now, when you say they are buggy?

Besides breaking your forum, the biggest problem is that we have a meta description added on the homepage through Yoast. Yet Google is grabbing the copy from the page instead.  Not good.  Also Google has made some changes on their keyword auto fill so Yoast had to disable this feature in their plugin as well.  Lots of little changes, you can see their support and get a better idea.

Not sure why it would break your forum...  I have it running on one of my test sites with no issue (latest version)...  and we have large number of users with it...

what are you using for display options?  see:   http://localhost/wordpress-dev.....ast-seo/  for another user that had similar issue...

Sorry for my late reply. I missed it.  We have enabled it again and it does seem to be working fine with the forum now.  I can't say for sure what it was. Also not sure why the meta desc. on the homepage was disabled by yoast. We re-added it and resubmitted and it is okay now. Too many things at once to pinpoint.

I tried the link you have above but it was blank for me.

Thanks!

Good news. That link was from Steves local dev system! Hopefully he can find the public link and add it.
