Howdy,

Our Simple:Press forum has been working great for almost a year.

However, none of our admins have been able to pin or move topics with the "forum tools button" that appears when hovering over topics or posts. There was a time when we first installed Simple:Press it worked, but since we don't normally have to move topics and such, we only noticed it wasn't working recently.

The button appears when you hover over, but clicking it does nothing.

Tried all admin accounts and different web browsers.

Any ideas?

Hey David,

Are you getting any errors in the console? It sounds like it could be a js conflict from either a plugin or the WP theme itself.

I do not see any errors in the error log under "Toolbox" that look like anything of note.
Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

There are a few notices:

Sorry yes, referring to the browser console while viewing the page with the tools button. Would gladly take a look at your forum if you have a link although I wont be able to see the tools button myself, we should still be able to see any potential conflicts.

Is it only the tools popup you've had problems with? Any others like Profile, Acknowledgements, New posts if using popup etc..?

The other buttons do work, it just seems to be the Forum Tools Button.

I fiddled around with different topics and such, and it seems like sometimes if I go into a topic and click the forum tools hover button over the first post in the topic, it will popup with the tools menu...I am not sure why it works sometimes and not others, however when browsing topics, the tools button doesn't work at all.

I checked the browser console, and the only thing popping up in it is when I navigate around the forum: "Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated.  Use defaultPrevented instead." Which is from a wordpress notes widget it looks like.

Our site is a paid membership site, but I could give you access via private message system if you think it would be required.

to see the forum tools, we would need some temp access...

if that works, via pm, send the credentials to yellow swordfish, Ike and myself...  please add a link back to this topic so we know what its all about...
