I just upgraded our forums from 5.5 to 5.7. Upgraded all the plugins and theme too.

Since then the forum is behaving weirdly. Everything is loading 5 times – 4 times even before the site header loads!

It is same for index page, a particular forum page or a post page.

I have deactivated all forum plugins – no change

deactivated every non-essential site plugin – no change

using the toolbox, cleared all caches, transients and rebuild all indexes – no change

reinstalled the forum – no change

changed the site theme – no change

changed forum theme from Unified to default – no change
