Hi -
I'm having a problem where occasionally, maybe 1 of out 20, times you navigate to a forum or try to save a post, a 404 error comes up. The error is not the entire page, but just the part that would be the forum. Not sure what is causing this. Please let me know if you have any ideas and if you need any configuration details from me.

It would be the whole page unless it is being shown as a php error - although that would usually show up as something like 'Fatal Error'- not 404. But I assume you just mean that you still have header, maybe sidebar etc., just no content. And that would be the whole WP page that is not being found.
The odd thing, of course, is one of inconsistency. It obviously gets it right most of the time. Is it always the same 'forum' or 'topic; that goes missing?
Any ideas -Steve? Brandon? Anyone?

saving posts? anything in the server error logs when this occurs? memory errors? does the post actually save and just not load back up?
and not sure what you mean by not the whole page... it is but one page... you would either get a 404 on the whole wp or not at all... can you explain further what is going on?

This issue actually seems to have resolved itself as of late this afternoon. Haven't had the issue again, so let's cross our fingers and hope it's closed. I'll reply again if it crops up again and I'll supply screenshots, etc, so you see what I mean. Hopefully won't need to tho!
Btw - just finished preparing our forum for launch for Beta Users on Wed, and it's just amazing. You guys really did an incredible job building this forum. Far and away the best forum I've seen for WP. Don't know why anyone would use anything else!
