How on earth is this possible? I'm still having the same issue. How is it that you can Edit a post in the private thread and I cannot???

This is all I see every single time I try to use the Edit button in the private forum -

Do me a favor and try editing a post on any page beyond the first one on that same thread. It seems I can Edit posts on page 1 but beyond that, it get what you see in this attachment. And I just check other threads on my forum - this is a global issue.

Any ideas what's going on here?

As all three of us have had no problem, even Andy in the private forum, all of us logged in as yourself my next guess would be one of two things:

1. Your local environment. Make sure you clear your browser cache and that you are not running any dubious plugins / extensions. Try another browser, or maybe another device (phone, tablet etc..)

2. Make sure you're not caching the forum page. Although there is normally evidence of this in the console and elsewhere within the forum, it always seems to present differently. You cannot cache the forum page as it is dynamic and most plugins that do this have the option of excluding pages.

Just the first two thoughts that come to mind.

I'm at a loss here guys. The Edit button only works on the first page of any forum thread. Beyond that, it doesn't work. I've tried multiple browsers, deleting browser cache, deactivating plugins, nothing works. I reset Auths cache and that did nothing.

Please try to Edit a post on page 10 of this thread and let me know what you find.

Help?

Well that is a bit strange.. So I've checked a couple of other threads and it seems that page 1 is fine, but trying to edit on page 2 or more causes the problem, correct?

I am taken to a URL of https://www.forum.radicards.co.....ostpage-10 which seems to be missing the '-' between test-post and page-10.

I'm probably going to need input from Steve or Andy here, but is this a continuation of your previous topic on HTTPS? Can you try updating the forum permalink again?

RE: Edit button only works on first page of any thread in my forum - correct.

RE: Continuation of topic on HTTPS - I hadn't really thought of it but perhaps? I don't know.

RE: Updating permalink - This was an issue for me previously and Andy had to help do this but I did just now click the "Update Forum Permalink" and that didn't change anything.

RE: Text in bold - I just noticed this too. Perhaps this is what's causing the issue? How can we fix that?

It is not a hyphen that is missing. It is the closing slash (/) of the base url. Which would be placed before the page portion. So something is stripping the closing url / before SP attaches the page number. Which, you will notice, it does not add to the first page of any topic

How do we fix it? It's not any of my plugins.

It's not SP as such either. Or it would be like that for everyone. SP determines urls from WordPress. If you look at sites generally you will see that the minte a age is loaded 9other than the start root page`0 then the urls end with a slash. Yours do not. Look at any forum topics - first page. Look at them here. Different. Maybe this has something to do with it. SP is not being sent a url with the closing slash.

Now I am not saying we could not deal with this eventuality but the fact is it should not happen in the first place. One thing you should perhaps do is to update your WP permalinks in the WP Admin and then immediately update the forum permalinks again.

after that my suspicions start to wander back to this https scenario. Did you ever actually set up the wp constant directives in the wp config file? For example.
