Mr Papa,

Here's what I just did, which didn't change anything -

  • I installed the default 2016 WP theme, deactivated all WP and SP plugins, cleared browser cache, then tried Editing a post - no change.
  • Cleared cached on a second browser, then tried Editing a post - no change.

I've since re-activated all plugins and returned back to using the Tribal theme.

Perhaps the issue has something to do with the move to HTTPS??? ::shrug:: All that was done here is the following:

  • Added SSL Certificate;
  • Moded wp-config file to reflect HTTPS (I actually had my host help me with this since I didn't feel comfortable doing it myself) - I sent the SP admins a PM with what my wp-config file looks like now;
  • Updated the permalinks in both WP and Forum

I'd like to keep my site with HTTPS but am willing to go back to not having it if you think that might fix the issue. Thoughts???

I have an irrelevant question, but why do you want https on the forum?  the rest of your site is not https...  just an odd quirk...

I just edited a post on your site (https://www.forum.radicards.co.....e-10#p3853)...  I will add that I did it with the forum tools... anyone who can edit a post will be able to get to the forum tools and edit a post in the same manner...  so you have a clear workaround until the other issue is solved...

will continue digging into the other button issue..

Holy crap! It works!

How did you fix it? What did you do? What didn't I do that I thought I did?

How did you fix the bad URL issue?

RE: Https logic

Whenever I have users logging in, I just thought HTTPS would be something that would provide added security. Thoughts?

as I said, updated your permalink... did uncover a small bug in SP too, but the permalink stuff worked past it...

nothing wrong with https... yes, it adds additional layer of security when transmitting sensitive info, but you really are not doing that in the forum... so makes good sense on your store.. doesnt make bad sense in forum, but then why not rest of site?

will look at the uploader this weekend...

The blog, store, museum, and forum are all different websites. The blog is the main site and the other three are subdomains.

The blog and museum are http because I'm the only one logging in to them whereas the forum and store are https because users log in and/or submit sensitive information.

When you say rest of site, are you referring to the blog and museum (http), or is there a part of the forum that still isn't https?

I'd really like to know how you updated the permalinks too since I thought that was already done for WP and Forum a week or so ago. What did I miss?

yes, other parts of the website... we can just drop this - as I said it was a curiosity factor more than anything else...

as mentioned, I changed your permalinks... updated to the more standard /%category%/%postname%/ from /%category%/%postname%

What other parts of my forum aren't https?
