Just so I'm clear here, when you say other parts of my site aren't https, you're referring to the museum and blog, and not other parts of my forum, correct?

Had the same problem as the title after updates. Thanks to info here, managed to sort it.
My WP permalink was /%postname%.html changed to /%postname%/ and updated Forum permalink and all seems to be OK.

its not a recent issue, but the next version of simple press will handle the lack of trailing slash on the edit link...
