the group title does not act as a link...  can you explain what you mean?  are you talking about the collapsing (and expanding) of the listed forums?

if so, what happens when you click on it?  any js errors reported in the browser console?

if you want, you can remove the collapsing/expanding...  in the sp theme you are using, in the spGroupView.php template file (which theme? a couple are slightly different with mobile and desktop variants), just comment out or remove this line:

                        sp_GroupOpenClose('tagClass=spIcon spRight&default=open', 'Open forum listing', 'Close forum listing');

as always, you should make a child theme or a custom theme before making any mods to the theme...

yup, just as I said... its for opening and closing the forum list below it... its not a link to another page...
