WOW I cant get beyond page 1 - this sucks. This is my second crack at this and having done so many forums like Vbulletin etc... I don't get why I'm having such a difficult time.
I installed the plugin in and configured the forum, now I want to create 2 users one as a user and the other as an admin so I can see my results as a user as I install plugins and move forward.
I registered on the forum for a user account and when I log-in it takes me to my profile page ??? I cant even get to the forum???
I don't even get why I cant figure this out??
Your support is excellent however I'm just frustrated that I need to use it so much.

ALSO - why if Im a member, and members have FULL ACCESS does my file uploader still not show up???? When I log-in and look at permissions in the forum as a user my profile permissions say "cant upload images in posts" ??

Well when adding a new topic does it not say something about useful topic titles and not using titles like HELP!! Maybe your problems are related to impatience and not reading things first?
Have you looked at the permissions for FULL ACCESS by hitting the Edit permissions button? I have and I can see that by default FULL ACCESS does not have the required permissions set.

any caching plugins? yoast seo?

Mark the first time a new user logs in to the forum they are taken to their profile page. You can then navigate from there to the forum.
This should only happen the once after which you will go straight to the forum.

There's no link from the profile to the forum how do they get to the forum? I found permission settings and changed to option for uploading images thanks. I would just think with "full access" that would be set to YES by default.
I should add that the PROFILE area I get dumped into after first log-in is my WP proile NOT the forum profile.

Try and turning the settings in Simple:Press Options - Global Settings where it says Block user access to WP admin page to and Redirect to user's profile page (overrides URL above).
That should force it to go to their SP profile page and not the WP one

Mark, keep in mind that the plupload is a plugin... it gets added to users sites sometime after sp installation... so we cannot just arbitrarily go in and make all usergroups have that permission default to on... many folks dont want users uploading stuff to their site...
so its your standard opt in, not an opt out...
