There is a way someone can create an account when purchasing something on the site via WooCommerce.
It could be possible they are creating the account that way and then it creates duplicate usernames.
There is no other 3rd party login/registration plugin other than that.

Someone named, Shannon, did buy something on the site. Apparently that automatically registers them in the forum? Is there a way to stop this from happening?
I wonder what happens if a person buys something on the site and then at a later date decides to join the forum. They would be stuck with their real name / confused. I would like to stop this if possible.
All the sudden the lights go on. I have seen *new users* with their full names as screen names. I was wondering why people were joining the forum with their real names. Turns out, they are being joined.

there is no forum registration... a user gets registered on wp... if the commerce plugins registers a user on wp, then they get some sort of forum access too... again, there is no separate registration or login for the forum... simple press is a plugin for wp and all users, registration and logins occur there...
