its pretty simple, take a look and ask any questions...
you give us the vbulletin db info, the wp db info and off we go... please note, both db need to be on the same server obviously...

I set up a test Wordpress website and a test Simple Press forum, I then went into the Vbulletin forums and moved all sub forums to regular forum status as the plugin states to do.
I then ran the SP Importer, this is what I received:
User/Member Data Created for Members 1 - 100
User/Member Data Created for Members 101 - 200
User/Member Data Created for Members 201 - 300
Members Post Counts Updated
IMPORTED:
223 Users
0 Groups
0 Forums
0 Topics
0 Posts
Why is the plugin not pulling my forums or posts? This is what I want pulled, not the actual users...
what is your version of vbulletin?
Afraid you cannot import just the forum stuff... the posts are rather meaningless with the users... I mean posts were made by users...
Not sure what the issue might be... What option did you use for UTF-8?
The vbulletin part of the importer was contributed by a user but has had good success with other users using...
If you try the utf option with no luck (worth a try), about the only further thing we could do would be to try it ourselves with the actual vbulleting db... if, of course, you were willing to share it... if so, send an email to support at simple-press dot com with the db... please be sure to link to this topic too... understand of course, if that is not possible...

have to let Andy answer the prefix question, but must have worked if it got the users...
would need the whole vbulletin db... so we can try importing it on our test beds to see what happens...
thanks for version - might ring a bell to Andy on version specific stuff... he maintains the importer...
