Support Forum
site is here: http://moreheadcitypolicedepartment.com
when we try to click into the actual forums, they keep taking to an https: address, and get page not found.
This site is located in a directory under the primary domain, which does have an https: but, this site doesn't
We've updated the permalink, and it shows http only, but still the wrong path, and an error.
is there something we can do?
Thanks,
M.
I am a bit of a dunce when it comes to ssl so I need Steve to get involved who will surely be along later. But I can ask some questions that he might ask to save time...
Leaving aside the https issue for a moment - you also say it uses the wrong path. The URLs actually look OK to me and do work if you remove the errant 's' so am I misunderstanding this comment?
I can also see that some topics have been started successfully. How was that done or has something changed?
And finally SSL is determined - as I understand it - be constants defined in the wp-config.php file (I think this is one of the codex articles Steve points to - http://codex.wordpress.org/Adm.....n_Over_SSL) so do you have these defined?

please do let us know if you have those required defines in the wp-config.php...

Ok guys, here's another clue?
The permalink keeps reverting to https - we've changed twice, but it reverts

What is telling this to revert?
When I click 'Update Forum Permalink', it comes back with the http:// version
And, seems to work ok... but then we've seen this before.
Will keep you updated
