yes, as Andy indicates, lots of users (including myself) use the two together...  I am not sure of any issue between the two (did not do any special settings), but perhaps just have not experienced it...

Guaranteed though, when I deactivated Yoast, the forum worked immediately.

The only thing I personally remember regarding Yoast and SP is that the Yoast option to allow what they call 'ugly permalinks' has to be turned on.
