Hi there,

We have an issue where our breadcrumbs are showing an extra link to the main forum on one site but not another with similar configuration. This is the site where the extra breadcrumb is showing: http://temwtb2015.dharmaocean.org/forum/ - this is the forum where the breadcrumbs are showing properly with one link: http://symy2015.dharmaocean.org/forum/

I've gone through all the forum options and cannot figure out an option that is different and the theme code should be the same...

You will need access to be able to see both forums so please let me know where to send this.

Thanks,
Jonah

Please PM credentials to both myself, to 'Mr Papa' and to 'Ike'. Please include in the PM links to your two sites, a link to this thread and a brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you.

I'm not sure I understand what's happening here..

In Sutrayana, you have the root breadcrumb as 'Discussion Forum'.. I can see that page in your WP page lists - Although it's the only page published by the user with the login details you supplied us, the others all published by a different user. Strangely 'Discussion Forum' doesn't show up in the list of options in Forum > Integration > Page and Permalink and instead the page 'Forum' is used which I can't find in the WP pages list.

In Touching Enlightenment where you have the problem.. I can see no mention of the page 'Discussion Forum' anywhere in the WP pages list. The page 'Forum' is there and is also the page used in Forum > Integration > Page and Permalink.

Is there something I'm missing due to multisite? I admit I have no experience with multisite's, but it's the only thing I can think of especially due to Touching Enlightenment using a page title I can only find on Sutrayana.

My advice would be to create a 'Discussion Forum' page on each site individually, and try reapplying the forum page to the newly created 'Discussion Forum' page in Page and Permalink. Make sure you then update forum permalink and update the panel at the bottom.

Hi Ike,

Thanks for your reply and taking a look at this. I tried in Touching Enlightenment to delete the Forum page and re-create and re-assign to Simple Press but this had no effect. I've still got the double breadcrumb. The forum pages for both sites we're actually exactly the same minus the different titles - the slugs were both /forum btw.

I just can't figure out why the Touching Enlightenment site has this extra breadcrumb... It's like the main forum page is already showing the created Discussion forum, whereas the Sutrayana site is showing the group Discussion Forum which then displays all the sub-forums. Is there a setting to control what and how things show for the main forum page that we need to adjust?

Also, I don't think it's anything in the template files, because both sites use exactly the same template and version of Simple Press...

I just figured it out - it was the "Skip group view on single forum sites.." option: http://bit.ly/1ZY6yOK

Thanks guys, and sorry for the trouble on this one!

Good news!.. Would have overlooked that myself as I've not had anything to do with multisite but Andy or Steve would have pointed it out in good time!

Glad it's resolved.
