Is there a quick and simple way to hide the right hand sidebar when using the forum so that I can utilise the whole width for the Forum. I find the narrow view we have is a bit limiting.
I'm using Wordpress 3.5, Simplepress 5.2.2. The Main WP theme is 'Third Style' and the SP Theme is 'css-only 1.2.1'
We've only had the site up a few days after a move from SMF, so I'm not quite up to speed with the package yet.
We are at http://www.idmfc.org.uk
Many thanks
Mike
This is a product of the WordPress theme and the available page templates. A good theme will often include a full-width page template so that is the first thing to look for as it might just be that easy. Edit the page the forum uses and look at the drop down template list to see if there is one.
If there is not then it it is a matter of making one which isn't necessarily that hard - more of a nuisance. But look to see if you have one first.

hiding a sidebar is a function of your wp theme - not simple press... as content that sits on a wp page we can just fit in the width provided to us by the wp theme...
most decent wp themes these days come with multiple page templates including a full width template... try editing your wp page the forum is on... you should have a pull down for the current page template (could be hidden by the screen options at top)... see if there is another template page you can select that removes the sidebar...
if so, that is quick and easy... if not, you will need to add a custom page template to your wp theme.. but check first... if not, we can help you create the page template...
