Just visited the site on desktop, in responsive mode and also on my phone and all looks OK to me!

Are you running any caching plugins? If so the forum page must be excluded from being cached as it's dynamic - caching will cause all kinds of problems.

I'm using wp super cache.

I have /forum/ in my strings that force pages not to be cached.

Ike, all works fine but when you stop moving the mouse a hover appears. I want to remove that...

This is something to do with the browser/page title. I know it might sound like I am passing the buck but it may well be more to do with your WP theme then SP.

I don't have your site open at the moment but in the forum page the browser title bar was something like 'forum' followed by a bar and then 2 capital letters and this was what I saw in the tooltip text. Where is that title coming from please?

Follow up... looking at the source code being generated there is definitely something going on with your WP theme and tooltips. Is that something you can turn off so we can see if that is the area of conflict?

The hover shows the forum path, for instance if I am in a post it shows the whole road back to my main webpage like so:

Post title | forum title | group title | forum | AJC

AJC being the name in the main manu point I guess...

The thing is I only see it on simplepress... Other pages work great. .

I understand that. But the conflict is, I believe, with your WP theme. Actually I am pretty sure of that. But it is a conflict and might be able to be sorted when we know if I am right or wrong.  Which was why i asked the question above (post 15)

Curious, I was loading different pages on your site and didn't see the change...

If not the theme then it must be a plugin you are using, Looking at the scripts there a lot there I am unfamiliar with.

Well - we can turn off the forum tooltips which should stop the conflict. This is not the right way to do it but it is good enough for testing.

Go to the forum admin > themes > theme editor.  When it loads look down the right hand side for the file 'spFunctions.php' and click on it to open it in the editing box.

At the top you will see the line pf code:

if (!defined('SP_TOOLTIPS')) define('SP_TOOLTIPS', true);

Change that word true at the end to false, save it and see what happens.
