How can I debug List Topics and my theme?

My forum works fine except for the List Topics feature. Both options, topics user has started or topics user has posted in, produce a white screen with only the first line of HTML sent. I have tested it with the Classic theme, and it works OK, but my homegrown theme breaks it.

I have tried many combinations in the forum integration settings but nothing seems to have any effect. I had the same problems in early versions but assumed it was because I needed to upgrade, but v5 has the same issue.

I have the Theme Test Drive plugin installed, so http://www.gout-pal.com/gout-p.....me=classic works, but removing the theme argument does not. Nothing shows in the forum error log.

Please could you advise me where to look for conflicts, or is there an alternative way to view topics from a given member?

Gosh - busy forum you have there.

I think I really need to see this so I can look at what is being output but as a guest visitor I can't open profile popups or get to anything that uses the ListTopic View (like Search).

If you would like to create me a temp account so that I can come and visit then please do and send me a PM here with some credentials. Please include a link to your forum, a link to this thread and just a brief reminder of the issue. And I will make a visit.

Earlier, I said "Nothing shows in the forum error log." However, I have noticed an entry that coincides with some searches:

file: /simple-press/forum/content/sp-common-view-functions.php
line: 70
function: sp_SectionStart
Notice | Trying to get property of non-object

Yes I am seeing that as well. It is non-fatal and just a nuisance notice but we are looking into it.
Thanks.
