Not one of my specialities but let;s see if I can ask the right questions... Our Google Sitemap plugin (to quote the plugin details) automates forum site map generation in conjunction with the popular Google XML Sitemap by Arne Brachhol and WP SEO plugins by Yoast.

So from that I assume they will be located wherever either of those WP plugins - depending on which one you are using - place the sitemap. I am pretty sure that when I used one before they are placed in the root of the website but I could be wrong and that might have just been the way I set it up at the time.

yes, the key is to have a wp plugin that generates a sitemap...  then we add the forum to it...  we dont just generate an independent sitemap...

wp sitemaps plugins we support are all in one seo, google xml sitemap, and wordpress seo (yoast)... then grab our sitemap plugin for simple press...

you have to look at the wp setting page for the xml sitemap plugin... its listed on their...  cant remember if it adds it into a large single sitemap or allows breaking into smaller sitemaps...
