After a forum user makes a post I'd like to limit the time available for the original poster to edit the post.

I couldn't find a setting in the Forum to manage this.

How can we set the time limit to something like five minutes?

Well as you will know - we only offer (built in) the option to allow editing prior to a reply being made.
What you want can be done although you will need a little php. Each display function has WP style hooks available and this one is no exception. So it would be fairly easy to hook into the routine that displays the edit button and perform the check on a time limit and then either do or do not display the edit button as required.

Thank you for the reply.

We'll go with the current method which only allows editing until a reply is made.
