Support Forum
I've looked all over the forum and wiki for help with this, and just cannot find the answer.
- I want users who are not WP users to be able to post topics and replies without moderation.
- Whenever someone posts a new topic or reply, I want to get an email.
I already set the 'guest' role to bypass both types of moderation; that doesn't seem to help.
Neither of these things are happening AND I cannot find out HOW to approve new posts because there doesn't appear to e a moderation queue or a notification setting.
Plus, I posted a test topic and then deleted it. When I'm logged in, the deleted post does not show. When I am not logged in, the deleted post does show. HELP?!
Ok one thing at a time. This explains moderation settings: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....ions-work/
forum admin > Admins > Your admin options - you can turn on email notifications.
The Admin Bar is a tool that allows you, as a forum admin , to review every post that is made. From within the tool you can mark as read, approve (if in moderation) and also reply using the Quick Reply feature - as well as Delete posts.
Your post deletion issue sounds like it might be a caching issue? Do you have a cache plugin active by any chance?

Oh sorry - I thought you said you had already installed it. It's an SP plugin. You will need to download and install and activate.

Installed AND activated?
Under the option where you turned on the setting to recieve emails there is also a setting to display the admin bar? Maybe that is turned off? It should be on by default. It is a personal choice as some admins on the same site may not want to use it.

On the page Admin > Your Admin Options there is a box labeled "Your Admin Bar Options". Inside of that box is a single grey/green toggle labeled "Display the Simple:Press admin bar." It's green.
I see no admin bar. I do not know where to look for the admin bar or what it should look like. If you would send me a screenshot of what I'm looking for, that might help.
Caching is off.
Any other ideas?
