I understand the standard Subscription plugin, however I also have an Auto-Subscription plugin that I really want to have working... but I have no idea how to use it. Also its documentation is rather vague.
Can anyone walk me through how to properly enable the Auto-Subscription (or member subscriptions, whatever its called idr) plugin? I have both the standard subscription, AND the auto-subscription plugins enabled... I just don't know how to enable it for certain user groups.

Hey Bluedrake42,
Membership Subscribe can only be used when setting up a usergroup with permissions on a forum, not for forums that already have usergroup and permission sets set up.
For example once the plugin is enabled - When you create a forum, after selecting usergroup and the chosen permission set you should then have another panel sub section 'Auto Subscribe Membership to Forum' where you can check the button and save.

Hm I still don't see anything, could you possibly show me a screenshot? I must not be understanding this properly. I think if I can navigate to the right place where this is enabled I should be able to figure out everything from there, but I don't know where to go in the first place =/

- Go to Manage Groups and Forums
- Against the forum of your choice click the 'Forum Permissions' button
- At the bottom of that form click the 'Add Permission' button
- Add the new combination of user group and permission set
- Below that is the Auto-Subscribe checkbox.

And I do have it installed, I see it says Membership Subscribe with an installed check next to it in my plugins forum menu

So it's installed and also activated?
Then the first thing to check would be that the permission set you are trying to use has the 'Can subscribe to forums (if enabled) and topics' permission enabled. You can check this in Forum > Permissions > Manage Permission Sets >. Find the permission set, edit, and look under the 'General' panel.

Yeah installed and activated =/ and I also already had the "can subscribe to forums" permission enabled. Technically I have all the prereqs enabled =/ not sure why its not showing correctly

Nor me but it is the second item you have said is not displaying itself as expected. How about caching? I am unaware of any actual data caching tools for the WP admin but maybe you have one you are using I have not encountered before? Is that possible?
