Which page template does it use? or does it create its' own?
If it uses single.php, how does it get rid of all the extra garbage that so many themes have (social media, next post, etc... )
Is there a developer who understands this who can maybe interface with our developer to clear some things up?
Thanks,
M.
when installed SP creates a new wp page for the forum to display on... that page will use the default page template... it depends on your theme what that will be... but in most cases, it will be page.php...
If you have specific questions, please post them here and we will try to answer them... forum admins = developers

Great thx...
That helps for sure, but if the page.php has extra fluff in it, then the end user will have to code that out of the specific page? or, they could copy the page.php, and create a page template just for SP... can you tell SP which template you would like it to use?
Sorry for the Junior Boy Scout programmer questions... I'm trying for my badge
Thanks,
M.
yes, exactly... you can create a custom wp page template just for the forum and do what you want with it - like remove the sidebar... after you add the custom page template, just change the wp page to use it and SP will follow suit...
