secure and what ends up in google search are two different things... 
but if you are running private forums, and guests cannot view a forum, there is no way for google to crawl the topics and index them... but you control the access to your forum... if you are running a private forum, you should ensure you are disabling forum feeds or using feedkeys on them...

thank you ... I looked around to see where the setting for group RSS is so I can disable it. Can't find it... any idea where to look?

group rss is disabled if all the forum rss feeds are disabled... or you can just remove the link for it from the spGroupView.php template file...
