Currently when a guest tries to enter a forum they are not allowed to view they get a screen that just shows a blank barguest-view.pngImage Enlarger

How do I instead activate a message for forums they don't have access to such as the one below that shows up when there are no topics in the forum?

 Edit:

I noticed that in the spForum View there is a message of "Access denied - you do not have permission to view this page" How do I activate that message for guests on forums they have no permission to view?

Thanks In Advance!

how did they get to that page?  if they did not have permission to access the forum, how did they 'find' the url?

are you using the sneak peek?  If so, why not display a message or redirect to a url for a signup chance (or message)?

Hey,

I'm starting from the main Forum page.

Im actually testing it out myself as a "guest" in a different browser.

For guests I'm using the "Read Only" permission with the only permission listed as "Can view a list of forums only".

I chose it so that guests can at least see the list forums in different groups but I didn't want them to be able to view any of the topics.

When I click on a forum as a guest, it displays a blank bar as if there are no topics in the forum.

How would I activate that "You don't have permission to view" message that's listed in the ForumView file?

so you are indeed using the sneak peek feature then...  go to forum - components - custom messages and configure a message for when the drill down to where they cannot view...

Thanks So Much!!!  Was so focused on trying to filter through code totally overlooked that you had a feature like this already built in the settings.

Good to know you have it as you want it now.
