What settings did you change?
I would suggest from your admin panel, going to Pages, open the page you want to edit – in this case forum – and at the top you should have a drop down tab called “screen options”..
From there you should be able to disable discussion and comments.
just checked, seemed like a really good idea, but those boxes aren’t checked so I can’t uncheck them.
that is your wp theme asking for page comments… if unchecking the boxes didnt work, then create a wp custom page template for the forum… start with the page.php template file from the theme and just remove the comment form…

went to Settings==>Discussion, unchecked “Allow people to post comments on new articles” which didn’t seem right as the replies are on a Page (SP Forum) and the same comments appear at the bottom of every SP Forum page and say SP Forum in the Page column of the Comments list
sorted this out,
went to WP Dashboard>>All Pages>>Selected SP Forum
Upper right corner, dropdown Screen Options
Discussion was already not selected but the comments/discussion was still visible, selected Discussion and two options boxes appeared at the bottom of the page and one of them was “Allow Comments”….which was checked!
So even though the Discussions box wasn’t checked, Allow Comments was checked and comments were enabled! unchecked Allow Comments, updated the page and the comments at the bottom of all SP forums pages are gone.
It was definitely a WP Page issue from the beginning as the comments were the same at the bottom of every SP forum page.
