how do i embed a fullsize image that shows fullsize, not as thumbnail?
under
I unchecked 'Always use image thumbnails' but I still just get thumbnails, when for example I embed manually w/code like:[im g] mysite.com/photos/myphoto.jp g [/i mg]
(spaces added so it doesn't try and parse img)
on a side note, I got the same when using the uploader plugin, with the added big security hole of, it saves photos in a subdirectory with my confidential username, which could be seen by looking at photo location, so i can't use that plugin.
hi, thanks, that fixed it!
also fyi recommend somehow updating the media uploader plugin so it optionally saves admin (only) content in a subdirectory that's not the admin's login id, which it does now, eg
/sp-resources/forum-image-uploads/myconfidentialWPusername/2015/05/
i understand that's good/smart for forum member content, but for security, it shouldn't save admin content in admin-username subdirectory, to prevent hack attempts since they can look at image info/source to see that name
sorry, cant resist... but security through obfuscation is not really security... its not all that hard to find usernames...
that said, making users of simple press feel better about running the software is important to us and as Andy said, we are discussing if there is a straight forward way to change to something else...

thanks, I'd recommend offering option for admins only to have images uploaded if they want/flag to generic /adminimage or similar. for security my login ID which is never visible normally is something like myname88ta3 .. so i wouldn't want images uploaded to a subdirectory w/that name.
in the meantime, I'm manually uploading to an /forumimages subdirectory via ftp and referencing with [ im g] tags but it's a bit of a hassle for every image
