Hi. Is it possible to tag a post with status announced or pinned - and show this in the output of the RSS feed. And will the pinned post stay on top of the RSS feed?

That's a jolly good question!

As to the first part then yes, you can pin a post just like you can pin a topic. Use the Forum Tools. If you are not aware of these then this codex article explains them: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....her-tools/

On the second question then the answer is currently no - the feed does not take into account topic or post pinning. Maybe it should and I will open a ticket right now so that we can investigate that and see if we can get that added to the feed creation query.

Thanks for quick response. Regarding RSS it would have been great if you can consider this feature. In a support forum it is important to be early out with good information about problems such as login problems.Pinned post should therefore stay on top as long as the topic or post is pinned ...... It should at least be possible to add a tag stating that the post is pinned, so it is up to the client that captures the feed choosing to use the info.

Yes i agree it makes sense. The ticket has been opened. Unsure about the tag part though at the moment.

Thank you. Looking forward to hearing more about this. I have another question. Do you offer a rss-feed to present lists like
Latest post in a group/forum or subforum, Most active group/forum, Most active user, Most liked post and Most commented post?

The standard, built in feeds are simply latest posts for: 'All' (i.e., the entire forum); 'Group' (i.e., all forums in a group); individual 'Forum' and individual 'Topic'. None of the others. not sure they would work that well as feeds anyway. An RSS feed wont replace something already received...
