I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of the icons on my profile. I can't figure out where they're being pulled in from, or why. I see Mr Papa has the same icons. The icons do not appear on any profile but mine. I have not added them, manually. The website and twitter icons work (and I don't mind them being there). The other two do not.
Here are my settings.
Last, in the "contact Elsa" section, there is a strange youtube link. I didn't put it there, manually. Also, while it mentions right youtube account - whatever it is, does not function. I don't want it there anyway.
I have looked exhaustively for a clue as to why this stuff shows up. It's not from my google + profile for example. If anyone has a clue, I'd be most grateful!
Thanks!
What do you have entered in the Simple:Press Profile > Edit Identities? If there is a YouTube one there it will show that.
you can get rid of the display in the spProfilePopupShow.php and spProfileShow.php template files... only have to edit the one you are using for profiles...

Oh go on... what was the cause please?
We never did figure out what caused these links/icons to appear.
Editing the profile php files did make them disappear from the profile, but they still appeared on the Forums, so I also edited the theme.php file to display: none; for all the social id stuff.
So, we are happy now. Thanks for you help!
I have a similar (but different) issue with my Google Plus icon. Please let me know if I should create a separate topic to deal with my issue. Here is the problem:
I have a Google Plus profile that is specified in my Wordpress user profile. In that field, it is a URL followed by my unique G+ userid. Specifically it is https://plus.google.com/116387.....4873191687
However, when I see my G+ icon on the profile section of a topic I have posted to, the link is as follows:
https://plus.google.com/u/prob.....4873191687
If I edit my profile within Simple:Press, I see that it wants the G+ field to be entered WITHOUT the URL. If I do this, the link within my profile icon works correctly; however it breaks Google Authorship for my site.
Thoughts?
I think we had one other user with similar interaction... the answer was to filter the field when being displayed to strip out the double...
