I will have different forums, each forum on a specific software product on which we provide support.

I have understood (or at least I think I have...) how to manage User Groups and Permission Sets.

So I will probably define for each forum one User Group and one Permission Set, and a user will be associated with one or more of these User Groups, depending on the software products he subscribed for.

For each forum, I would like to manage 3 level of member subscriptions: gold, silver and guest.

All these members will have the same permissions sets, but we will answer to posts with priorities based on this level: gold, then silver, then guests.

So, how SP can help me to know how many posts I have to answer, and how to see quickly which ones come from gold, silver or guest members. Do I need to use badges? how? Do I need to be forum admin? forum moderator?

back office?  do you mean the wp admin area?

we do not have any facility for managing posts in the admin other than the dashboard widget...  post moderation and handling is all done on the front end...

the admin bar plugin would be your best bet... it shows you all new, unread posts and posts needing moderation...  but it does not distinguish or make any difference based on who made the post (ie usergroup)...

you could also use the unanswered posts plugin which allows you to have a page set up to display all posts your forum has received that no one has replied to yet... but again, does nothing different based on user...

if you wanted to sort the new or unanswered posts by some unique criteria, you would need to do that via hook/filter or a plugin for sp...  its not something currently built into our core or any plugin...
