How to migrate from BBpress to Simple?

Hello,

I am wondering if there is any step-by-step guide on how to migrate to Simple:forum from BBpress? I have downloaded the importer but am a little lost as to what to do next.

Yes - we still need to write that up I am afraid. But.. it really is straightforward.

The importer is a WordPress plugin and when you install it and activate it (via WP plugins panel) it will add a new menu item to your Simple:Press forum admin menu. After that - it is really a matter of just following the links and taking note of the help panels that are displayed.

Yes, I managed to upload the importer to the WP plug-ins but I think my lack of basic database understanding is holding me back from the next step! I have been asked to add source forum data about the bbpress plug-in but I do not know where I can find this information. Any ideas?

Pretty sure it tells you somewhere there on the form... if in doubt look at the wp-config.php file for the source database system as the details have to be recorded in there...
