I would like to modify the message that gets displayed when a user is not able to see a forum because they are not yet a member of the usergroup containing that forum.

Specifically, I would like to change the message:

"Access denied – you do not have permission to view this page"

I have no problem modifying the files, I just don't know where to begin looking.

Cheers,

Jim

you have complete control over that message... its your sp theme that is outputting it...  sounds like you are in forum view, so that would spForumView.php...  just look for the string and change it...

of course, as always, we recommend that you modify your own theme and not ours. here is how to set up your own:  http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-a-theme/
