Hi,
I have 2 questions re posting/replying by email:
1. I have enabled 'can reply' and 'can start' new topics by email for my moderators. How do I actually do this? I have looked everywhere and cannot find the email address ot use and how to specify a forum/sub forum to post in.
2. If I give this permission to all my members, does this affect the server load and slow down my forum in any way?

Have you looked at the Codex article on how to set this up? http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-by-email/
Giving permission to all of your users foer this should not have too bad an effect. After all - once turned on it is going to check the mailboxes periodically anyway - whether a user has sent a post or not. The only point I would make is it can - if popular - reduce your site traffic and visits.
