how to see/download an upload in the forum?

A student just uploaded an mp3 file in one of the discussions,for review. How do I access it? Where is it? How do I download it? Maybe he didn't upload it? I see nothing.

Is it possible to answer the 'Maybe he didn't upload it?' question definitively first? You should see an attachment link if it was uploaded through the forum uploader in a post. So knowing 100% whether this was or was not uploaded has to be the first question.
