How to subscribe to forum when Profile Options >> Profile Entry Form Mode set to Wordpress profile form

I was having a problem in that no profile information was displaying when the user clicked the Profile button. I suspect this has to do with my site using the Theme My Login plugin, which changes the Wordpress profile page to a themed front end page. To remedy this, I changed the Profile Options >> Profile Entry Form Mode setting to Wordpress profile form from the default Forum profile form.

This does indeed bring a user to the nicely themed Wordpress profile page; however, it seems also to have eliminated the only method of subscribing to an entire forum rather than individual topics.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I might work around this issue?

Allowing users to subscribe to an entire forum is essential in my user community.

No, thats not the only way... sp 5.2 and the latest subscriptions plugin offer multiple ways.. did you read the changelog in your sp admin for 5.2? or the codex article for theme changes?

you will see here, that we allow subscribe to forum from group view... but you can also add a button to forum view and topic view...

since you likely have your own theme, to take advantage of new template functions, you have to add them in yourself... we also post any potential new theme options in the codex for each release...

Hi Steve,

I like the option to subscribe to forums from the group view. That will be handy. The template function to provide a button to subscribe/unsubscribe at the forum view is also great.

I'm still struggling with enabling users to choose to receive subscriptions in digest or individually.

I have configured SP admin >> Components >> Subscriptions so that the following are selected:

Allow members to subscribe to forums in addition to topics.

Enable subscription digests

Daily digest

I have configures SP admin >> Profiles >> Profile options so that the following are selected:

Display Profile Mode: Forum profile page

Profile Entry Form Mode: Forum profile form

However, when I go to the forum and click the Profile button, there is no profile information shown. I thought this must be a conflict with the Theme My Login plugin that I also use. However, I deactivated that plugin and experienced the same blank profile area.

I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding how to troubleshoot this. Screen shots are attached. I'd be happy to provide a login if you'd like to see the issue. (I have the forum set up so that it is accessible only to registered users.)
