Hi first post here! I have the 5.0 Beta of course and when I hit 'reply' (I wish it said 'reply' lol)......when I reply to a post html shows up in the box and gets in the way.

<strong> blah blah</strong> and lots more! Any ideas? Thanks so much! See screen shot. Is it because I put a message in every forum? ...E.g, 'Please be respectful to others.'. That show up twice in each box.

Screenshot?

Reply button - you can change the button text to whatever you prefer in the theme template you are uisng.

HTML - Are you using the html editor? Or the plain text editor (just a simple text area)? either of these will show the html tags which is standard for such editors. If you prefer to use the WYSIWYG rich text editor then you will need to install and activate the TinyMCE editor SP plugin.

Ah! Now I see you have an editor here above. Mine doesn't and I checked the WP plugins and Tiny MCE doesn't seem to be there. Maybe it's not updated for WP 3.3 yet.

No - the tinymce editor for SP5 is a simple:press plugin available on the same download page from where you downloaded SP.
It goes into the forum-plugins folder as defined in your storage locations and once uploaded there needs activation via the SP plugins admin panel.

Sorry, could you walk me through the steps of installing the plugin? I have it downloaded, have FTP and all that jazz. I just need to know the folder names, and if I should upload it in zip format or extract it all first before uploading it via FTP. Thanks!

you need to look where you have configured the location... by default its wp-content/sp-resources/plugins... but you can define that location in forum - integration - storage locations...

extract on computer first and upload the extracted directory and files...
