huge empty space between avatar and comment box is bothersome

One of my students asked if it could be fixed. I think it's really weird too. See upload for an understanding of how odd it looks.

that is just because you have a very narrow space for the forum... so in your sp theme, you just need to adjust the column widths a bit...

in spTopicView.php, for example:

sp_ColumnStart('tagClass=spPostSection spRight&width=84%');

increase the 84%... but you will need to descreas the other columns to keep it below 100%
