Support Forum
Hi!
I have made a total relaunch of my community, and I have a large phpbb3 forum I will convert to simple:press.
I'm using a company called gconverter.com to do the actual conversion for us.
Because they need to have phpbb3 operative when converting, I'm not changing the url for the old forum.
The old forum will still be at domain.com/forum (Where I intend to also have simple:press, once converted)
Now for my question
Can I, to make things easier, install simple:press, and set the url to be: /forum2 and name the page /forum2
And then when everything is converted, just delete phpbb3, and then change the simple:press-URL to domain.com/forum and then change the page-name to /forum?
Will it be this simple?
yes, it should be that simple... you can freely change the slug of the wp page to whatever you want... update the forum permalink then on forum - integration - page and permalink and everything should update just fine.
